Hi!

wondered if those IR thermometer guns would read the internal temp.

Hubby has one of those and said it will only read shell surface temperature.

Hey Dipsey - momentary hijack - My first set of chicks from you look like they are about to start laying also. Combs have reddened up quite a bit and the boys have a sudden interest in them. Wonder what a frizzle barred black cochin X golden lakenvelder or Mille Fleur D'uccle is gonna look like...

Day 22 - it hatched! One out of six. I thought it had quit because it has been sooo quiet. Looked at it this morning and then forgot about it. Around dinner time I noticed the incubator was chirping!

She has a feather duster to snuggle with, and tomorrow I'll pick up a mirror for her so she knows what other chicks are.
