eggs that didnt hatch **PICS***

can someone tell me what happened or why they look like this?


not sure how to describe it,other than hard dried yolk in the bottom of the shell

and this one was soft jelly type

very old eggs it happens to my DD when she forgets to bring in the eggs, they dried up

I had 4 others that were not fertile just didnt post pics because I know why they didnt hatch

Yep, this is why quail eggs rarely explode, they normally do dry up instead....but not all the time

The shells are so very fragile, and it's sometimes hard to see small breaks in the shell with all the spots! I had to do it by feel. And I missed one that I caught when I brought it out to candle, and it looked just like that!

Those eggs went like that because they have been in the incubator for at least 17 days at the incubation temperature and humidity. The egg does look like that after a while. It just means that your eggs were not fertile to begin with.

Hi,

This is perfectly normal with infertile eggs that are placed in the incubator.

Eggs lose a large amount of moisture during incubation and if not fertile just dry up.
