Eggs "twerking" and now chirpping as they start day 20

What an experience! It has been an exhausting 36 hours but well worth it. Out of 26 viable eggs at lockdown I have ended up with 20 beautiful little fluffy butts as day 21 has almost ended. A few of mine pipped at the wrong end and I had to assist. After I totally screwed up the first assist, I got it down pat. Here are a few pics, hope everyone else has good luck with their hatches.



Some of them are hiding under the ecoglow and two are still in the incubator.
 
Congrats! I just got my brooder cover finished and can't wait to see the hatching.....5 more days!

First peep this morning!!! Oh my gosh...can I be more excited?!? Mama Marans seems like a very dedicated mother. Even if we only get one all the work was worth it. ****fingers crossed for more**** Oh, and today is day 20. ;)

Our first chick born at home!! Mama Marans has a bunch of eggs still under her and looked pretty shocked so stuck baby under a broody silkie in the crate. No other chicks started yet, but can hear a legbar baby peeping in egg. Come on babies!!!
