First full winter with chickens here (hatched December of ‘20). Egg production has seriously dwindled, but all of a sudden someone is laying eggs with no shell, only the membrane. Is this normal when they start to get back into the swing of things?

No signs of mites or worms

I’ve not, but they do get their own eggs and black soldier fly larva. This was a rapid change from super hard shells to no shell at all.
What are you feeding them? If a layer ration it has minimal calcium, and they may need oyster shell on the side. If an all flock or flock raiser they definitely need oyster shell on the side. You could give her a calcium citrate tab for a few days to see if that gives her an extra boost to get things back to normal

They get layer feed. I’ll give your suggestion a go. Thanks for taking the time to help me!
