Eggs with rings - should I be concerned?

The past week has been crazy, so my mom and husband have been helping more with the ducks. Today when I collected the eggs, I noticed one had a darker blue band around it. When I showed it to my husband, he just casually said, "oh, yeah, I've been seeing those for awhile now - just thought it was an optical illusion at first, then realized one girls was laying eggs like that."

I'm so frustrated he didn't say anything to me about it! My mom knows squat about ducks, so she gets a pass for not realizing eggs with bands aren't the norm around here.

Anyways, here are a few of the more noticeable banned eggs that I've found in our eggs sitting on the counter. Should I be concerned about this?View attachment 1874351

I'm not aware of that being a problem. My ducks eggs vary some in color even on the same egg and those eggs have all been fine. Your eggs are quite pretty.

Thanks! I agree, they are rather pretty. Just wanted to be sure the dark ring wasn't a sign the eggs are getting temporarily stuck on their way out.
