Some of my eggs have tiny red specks inside. They don't bother me but they are unappealing to people I sell eggs to. I have Rhode Island Red hens and no rooster. They get Agway layer pellets and grit/oyster shells.

Any ideas? It doesn't happen to all eggs.

They are called meat spots I believe. I get them once in a while but it doesn't affect the taste at all. You might be able to see them(if their big enough) when you hold a flashlight up to the egg in a dark room.
