Can I legally sell my backyard chicken eggs to people?

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm not aware of any reason why you can't sell your eggs to people, unless you have some kind of local ordinances that prohibit it. Myself and other BYC members have been selling our eggs to other people for years (decades in my case).

It should not be a problem, but you may want to check with people from your home state to see if they know or any reasons why you could not. Just search "Florida" on BYC and some threads should come up.
In our area there is no problem selling to people who intend to use it for their own use. We just can not sell to other individuals who plan to resell it to consumers (restaurants for example). Our local township also seems to have an issue with people putting signs down by the road advertising fresh eggs, but selling by word of mouth or on Craigslist is fine.
