is there a breed of duck like the Muscovy (quiet breed) that lays better than the Muscovy

My Runners eat like piggies and never gain a pound sure wish I could do that.

I admittedly don't have the answer, but I will say my Blue Swedish are quite chatty and make some kind of noise pretty much constantly.

My Runners aren't so loud and lay good, they have their moments but aren't as loud as my Buff Orpingtons. I don't think there is another ducks as quiet as Muscovy's though.

I think I read that runners have the best feed to egg conversion of any type of ducks, in other words the least amount of feed produces the most eggs! I had really wanted runners myself for this reason, but have decided against them due to my climate.
