My ducks laid their first eggs today!

My dad found them-two very frozen duck eggs on the ice on the pond

Firsthouse-I thought it was funny too. I'm also pretty sure they've been sleeping on the ice all winter-silly ducks. I threw them some peas today, and some landed on the ice. It was so funny watching them slide around trying to get the peas! I've gotten two more-both laid in the house. Naturally in the back corner, where I had to practically climb in to get them. If I put easter eggs filled with sand in the house, will that encourage them to lay there, or is that only for brooding ducks? Thanks!
