    Hatched a bunch of Valley Quail last year from eggs. Started with 13, I'm down to 9. 6 roos and 3 hens. Wish the mix had been opposite. Oh well. It is what it is.

    Two of the three hens are now laying, and I checked two eggs from the same day and they are fertile! I'll get them in the incubator in a few days once I have enough for a row. I'll also send a row to the guy I got the eggs from since all of his were killed by coons.

    He has a line on mountain quail eggs, so I may get a chance to hatch out a few of those.

    It was nice gathering eggs today. 2 quail eggs, 5 ringnecks, 3 turkey and 9 chicken eggs.
