How long can infertile eggs be in the fridge without going bad? I wash them in hot water before they go in, just a little scrub to get the poop and junk off. Their're mallard and runner eggs. Thanks.

hmmmmmm, I couldn't really tell you...normally I don't keep eggs more than a week, they are usually eaten by then anyways

...they might keep longer but I don't chance it

(a good way to tell if an egg is bad or not is to float test it, a fresh egg will sink to the bottom, a bad egg will float...but that's kinda tha limit to my knowledge on that

Thanks, I looked up this "test" on the internet and found good info on it. I just did it and all my eggs sunk. Thanks for the idea.

Eggs will last a long time. Store bought eggs can be up to 45 days old by the time you get them. As long as they are properly handled, I would think they would be safe to eat for at least a month, most likely longer.

6 weeks is a good time frame. They can store longer, but I would not go beyond. Also it does not matter if they are fertile or infertile.
