We have hens that lay and we save the eggs until we have enough to fill the incubator. What is the longest time we should keep the eggs before we put them in the incubator.

Ideally you should not store eggs longer than 7 days before setting them. You can store them up to 10 days, if needed, but after day 7 the hatchibility of the eggs drop significantly and after day 10 you risk having weak chicks and hatching problems. For best results store the eggs either on their sides or upright (fat end up) in a cool place (not a fridge) with a humidity of 75% and turn them twice a day to keep the yolks centred.
