Hello,
First time chicken owner here. And my first post!
I have an Easter Egger that started laying recently and she's having issues with eggshells.
She laid her very first egg about 2 weeks ago and it was a prefect little blue egg. Then nothing for about 20 days. She laid another egg and it was weird, a little misshapen. Then next one was soft shelled, and I found one under the roost that was just the membrane attached to another empty membrane. I know it was hers because she's my only one that lays blue. Next, one was another with no she'll at all. Today she laid one that was very similar to the second one, with cracks in the shell, and calcification at the same time. I have been giving her Tums the last 2 days, bought new feed, and stopped snacks for her. I have 3 other layers and no one else is having issues. They are on layer feed and have oyster shells available. Free range all day. Help!
