Hiya! Been crazy with snow here (over 100” in less than two weeks). But I finally read an article on thin egg shells in commercial eggs. I thought it was ME who was crazy for somehow forgetting how to crack an egg but once our girls started laying I realized that they are like tanks to get into. (Exaggeration of course but they feel like eggs used to feel). Happy and merciful end of winter to you all.

Beautiful eggs! And yes, home-grown eggs often take a mighty whack (or two!) to get unto! Means your gals are getting plenty of calcium, probably from that dish of oyster shell you have out there for them.
