I'll have to make another one for easter, after my BCM, Olive Egger, and Wheaten Ameraucana have started laying. Now I just need some pink and purple layers...

You should send this idea to Martha Stewart, she'd love it! And she has the laying flock to make more of her own! I especially like the curls of birch bark in your wreath, it adds just the right touch.

I was going to use straw instead of the birch, but I had the birch handy. I really used it to hide the gaps in between eggs, but it does add some depth and texture. Maybe next year when my girls molt I'll try one with feathers.

It does look very Martha. I'm a florist, and I've actually had some of my work shown on her program before. I don't necessarily care for her, but she is a great businesswoman, and has a talented staff...

Now I just have to decide if I'm going to sell it at the shop, hang it on my own door, or put it on the coop for the holidays...
