Okay, so I just got the chicks all locked in for lockdown. It's a day early, partially because I'm impatient and worried, and partially because some of those eggs look more developed than the others. They are a mix of eggs, and I'm not sure what is what , so I locked it down on day 17 just to be safe. Now I wait ... I will post pictures when/if they hatch if anybody is interested!

So I totally just candled the eggs 1 last time before the official "day 18". I think I saw a little chicky trying to peep his air cell! I didn't see his beak in there, but it was up and down. Looked like he was trying to puncture it, so no more touching for me 😅👍 I'm so eggcited!!!

Oh my goodness., how do you guys do this?! I feel like It's harder now that I know I can't look 😭 WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE THOSE EGGS 😭😂🐣🐣🐣

How is the hatch coming along?

Welcome to the thread! As far as the hatch, the one egg that made an external pip doesn't seem to have progressed overnight. Although I woke up this morning, and a very tiny piece of the shell fell out. It looks like the membrane is pierced. I'm just kind of waiting and trying to keep the incubator closed for now... I'm really hoping that he makes it out on his own okay. As far as I can see it's only this egg that has made a pep, but I haven't checked the others since yesterday, and some since the day before. This egg was a little bit ahead of the rest of them though. The humidity went down to 64.7 last night, and the temp down to 97.9, so hopefully that didn't have any effect. I'm watching really closely to see if I can see movement, or if I hear him chirp again.
