I have 6 hens. 4 we raised with medicated feed, 2 we adopted (don't know if they were on medicated feed). One of the adopted hens recently had a fecal float done to diagnose worms, which she had, so we treated them all with Valbazen and redosed 10 days later. The float also said there were eimeria oocysts present and she has had diarrhea for a week now is very listless today. Should I treat her with Corid for the coccidia? Should I treat them all if she is the only one showing symptoms? Ours raised on medicated feed all seem fine.
Any help appreciated, thank you.

The medicated feed doesn't have enough antibiotics to treat the cocci. I would treat them all. It won't hurt the rest of them if you treat them and its better to be safe then sorry because the cocci is contagious. Yes, I would treat with Corid. Incase you don't have the dosage here it is. :). Dosage is Corid powder - 1/2 tsp per gallon of water, Corid liquid - 2 tsp per gallon of water. Treat for 5 days,do not give vitamins during treatment. Give vitamins after treatment is complete.

Thank you for your reply. I've been out of town and my wife has been giving them the fresh water and Corid dose since I've been gone. Today was the last day. I saw on-line here that the 9.6% oral solution Corid dose is 9.5 cc/gal, so that's what I went with. The hen that wasn't doing well and had diarrhea has really made an improvement!
Thanks again!
Paul
