I closed it up because there is a hole in the belly skin that the dogs were getting up into looking for mice. They were getting old nasty fiberglass in their fur and eyes.

That makes sense....good solution. Don't think shredded fiber glass is good for anybody.

I too have mice/rats around my hen house, must be the grain that attracts them. My cats and dogs help but I guess mice/rats will always be a part of the picture.....grain and a place to shelter will always be an attractive home for the little guys.

I sure would like to see what the inside looks like. Any pictures? I like what I see so far.

Only have these roosts are finished so far. Have to go to sea tomorrow for a month, then will work on the nest boxes and other inside goodies. The floor most likely will get a covering of linoleum.
