Elderberry Jelly Help!

I'm trying to make some jelly. The recipe just calls for elderberry juice and sugar. It says to cook quickly until thick... well, it isn't getting thick.

For those of you who made elderberry jelly do you think I should add some fruit pectin? Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Actually, you can make jelly without adding pectin but it isn't as stable and requires the fruit to be boiled for a few minutes before you squeeze out the juice. I learned this the hard way while trying to make syrup LOL. It kept gelling on the pancakes.

Blackberry & blueberry both worked like this for me. It was a tasty experiment!
