out girls are 6 to 7 years old and not laying any longer. If we butcher is this age too old to eat? Could crockpot make it so they wasn’t too tuff
 
It will definitely help,pressure cooker is also very good. They still won't be the most tender chickens but you'll be able to chew.:)

Have never eaten one that old...but they'd probably make decent soup/stock.
Pressure cooker is the way to go.
BUT make sure you rest the cleaned carcass in the fridge for 48-72 hours for rigor mortise to pass before cooking for freezing, or meat will be unchewable no matter how you cook it.
