Elector psp question

Finally got my bottle of elector to assist in ridding the coop of red mite.

Emptied the whole coop and washed down with poultry shield then diluted the elector to appropriate amount and sprayed whole coop thoroughly. Let settle and then put in new bedding etc...

Questions is there are still red mite wandering around at night time (this is now day 2 since the treatment).

Normal or no?

I have used elector PSP before and I feel like that is normal. Seems like any bug that landed or crawled over a previously sprayed surface, bugs or even flies that would land in their coop seem like they would die after a few days. Seems like it has been normal as far as my experience that’s why I try to be really careful with it, so I don’t accidentally kill honeybees.

Hey y’all I am about to treat my coop and chickens with elector PSP. I’m only able to touch 4 of the 12 Chickens. So when they roost at night I’m going to spray them, my only concern is they won’t let me saturate them like they need be on their vent area if they aren’t sitting in a position I can. So my question is, if I just spray their body with out being able to run down to the skin, will it still be effective? ALSO has anyone used Elector psp for their backyard chickens and had dogs/cats that roam the back yard as well? Is it ok for them to be around once it dries? Thanks!

Spray your birds at night while they are roosting. It's easiest with an assistant, and use a very small flashlight (head lamps are great). It's best to handle each bird, or at least get those vent areas while they are roosting, if annoyed.
Wear protection! N95 face masks are best, and gloves, and wash everything and shower when you come inside.
Spinosad is okay for dogs and cats, although dosages vary a lot, so keep them out of the coop and away from the birds until every thing is dry.
