electric doors?

I'm trying to figure out what I would need to make my coop door close & open electronically by a timer. I'm picturing a guillotine style door that would just slide down (maybe weighted so that predators couldn't just push it up) & up on a timer. I know it should be easy enough... I just can't think what I would need to start. Has anybody done anything like this?

in your search type in antenna. Mine is a automatic car antenna on a timer. it required soldering and adapters but was worth all the effort.

I have not herd of doors like that i just put stuff in fornt of my door at night so they cant get out and it works just fine for me.
