Electric poultry netting - is it worth it?

Hello! Is the juice worth the squeeze? We have about 3 more weeks before our new Flock can move outside permanently, we have the coop ready for them and have brought them out during the day last week when we had unseasonably warm weather. We plan to have an additional pen for them to graze during the day, and have been researching electric netting. We only need about 50-60 feet of netting and the ground around the coop is very unlevel, the kits we are finding are expensive and we are wondering if it’s worth it. We are also noticing that most videos about poultry netting are at least two years old. Was it a big thing that faded, or does everyone have it, love it and there’s no need for a current conversation about it? Thoughts and insights please!!

I use it. I think it stops a random fox or dog from grabbing a chicken. Does nothing against hawks of course.
Raccoons have found their way round it by leaping from tree to tree - but they only seem to come at night when the chickens are securely locked up.
I have 240 feet of it I believe.

They're still popular for people who rotate livestock fields and beekeepers who move hives throughout the season. It just depends on whether the fence fits your needs. When it comes to electric fences there's a lot of options.

I don't have it but I don't need it. My thinking is, what would it cost to replace your chickens (not just financially but emotionally), and how vulnerable are they?
