Electric Poultry Netting

I have a question. I have the Premier electric fencing, it has worked great for my older birds. We just recently changed out the coop and added pullets and younger chicks and ducks. The pullets and younger chickens and ducks are able to slip thru the fencing currently and my older birds have been getting out of the fence to try and get into their old coop. I am afraid to hook up the electric on the main fence because the ducks often get caught up in the fence. Any suggestions. They are currently lock up in the coop until I can figure out how to keep them all contained.

For your older birds locking them in their new coop for a week should work. I don't put pullets out in mine until I'm reasonably certain they can't go through the fence, usually about 3 months old. Did the same when I had ducklings. Kept them in until they were too big to get out. Once they are all big enough put on the electricity. They'll learn to not touch the fence. Usually only takes once.
