My eggs went into lockdown last night and my electricity just went out. Temp is down to 82. What can I do??? Any suggestions???

Got any hand warmers?
I have some of those gel-filled reusable muscle things- I warmed them up in a pot on the stove and laid them across my incubator- and then covered it with a thick blanket to try and maintain temps.

Car? Can you run your car with the heat full blast and put the incubator in there?

Can you use your stove?
Hot water bottles around the incubator and cover with a blanket.

Best of luck to you!

One of the reasons its a good idea to have an ac/dc inverter for your car. Once the temp is down that low I'm not sure what can be done. Can you some how but some candles underneath the incubator without them being so close its a fire hazard.

We have an AC adapter that fits into the car cig. lighter for just such an emergency.

Stove probably won't work unless yur cookin' with gas...

Just found the ac adapter. The eggs are now in the truck in the incubator.

Thank ya'll!! The temp got down to 80 for 30 minutes. Do you think they will be ok?

Somepeople use hotwater in bottles and put them at the bottom of the bator.Or something like that.

LOL! I needed that! Thank ya'll so much. Someone had a wreck and knocked a light pole down by our house. Light company just got here and are working to fix it. The eggs are getting warmer as we speak. Thank God! This is my first hatch and i would hate to lose them 2 days before they hatch.
