Electrified Poultry Neting

As far as the corner posts go. Premier also sells 6' long fiberglass corner posts. I use them and I do not have to brace the corners in any way. I don't know about the other fence/netting they sell, but the PoultryPlus netting does not sag.

This is a very old thread but hopefully some feedback can be provided.

I'm specifically looking at using the netting around a fixed coop; actually a shed converted to a coop. My plan is to add another chick door to the coop and use the electric poultry netting to adjust the run periodically; though it will remain anchored to the coop. Given the predators we have (foxes, coons, possums)I'm not keen on "free" ranging.

I want to be able to adjust the netting so the birds don't over graze a given area. I recognize the anchor point of the coop will get over grazed/trampled but hope having the additional door will allow some recovery periods for the area closest to the coop...I hope.

Anyone else do something similar?

I use the premier 1 electric poultry net too. It does not keep the chickens in- they can fly over it. I keep them in with bird netting. I've been using it since May and though I have dogs, foxes, coyotes, possums, raccoons, etc in my area, I haven't had any problems. I have two of the solar chargers so I can swap them out if the battery gets low after several consecutive rainy days.
