"I'm sorry, Kat...There isn't much I can do..." Keahi walked away, exchanging some words with Devereux before leaving.

Devereux walked up to Kat, concern in his eyes. "I'm sorry about Lux..."

"It's.. it's just hard." She draped her neck over his and cried.The tears kept coming for a long time. His luxorious mane captured all of them making it damp.

"I just hope that they find him. I.. I don't think i'll be able to do anything until they do." Kat backed away and returned to her foals. She nudged them back from the water and settled down to sleep. they curled up beside her and slept also.
