"It is my duty to protect the herd." He said gently. "That includes you. Besides, Keahi has given me the next three days off duty to spend time with you."

"Oh good. I need time with you.Someone told me about a stallion that was found wandering outside. He doesn't belong to our herd and no one knows who he is. Any news?" Kat was glad that he had days off. She walked to a pear tree and offered one of the juicy fruits to her mate.

Dev chuckled. "I talked with Yuki, she's the head nurse, and she said that Lux is doing great. And I talked with Keahi, we will tell our friends the announcement at the Full Moon Gathering. That is...a couple days from now."
