Elgin, IL Sustainability Meeting- April 2014

Hey Elgin residents!

I'm presenting a case as to why Elgin should change the local ordinances that currently ban backyard chickens to the Sustainability Commission on April 8th. I am reaching out for any supporters or fellow neighbors that would like to say hi- let's make this happen!

Thank you everyone! So glad to see support! I started a community Facebook page, facebook.com/elginpolloshermanas. The meeting is April 8, at six pm. I hope to have a lot of people show up for support! The sustainability commission meets at the Centre, in the west conference room, at 100 symphony way. I read that this was done back in 2012 and that they were working out the licensing and ordinances. They were going to base it on West Dundee.

it was, but the issue was dropped. I reopened it to discussion and we're working with city hall currently. Check out our Facebook page in the comment above for more info.
