I may be wrong but I would be willing to bet you a Coke that there are more guns in "Suburbia" that in most rural towns. Its just in the city, most of them are owned by crooks!!!

I'm going to have to agree there. It's never safe to assume your neighborhood is gun-free (on a similar note, please ask your child friends parents if they have a gun in the hme, and if it can be locked while your child is there?).

Mr Boyd, I agree with you. I know for a fact that in my area 90% of homeowners have guns. I can atest to the fact I personally have 17. All locked away and ammo locked seperate. I was ra ised hunting, fishing, target, the hole nine yards on respecting a gun and what it could do. I taught my kids like my dad thought me. Hunting courses, gun safety, all of it. Started them young and they all 5 can hit what ever they are aiming for. But if your thug shoots the first round and you hit him, you have to prove they fired the first shot. The law is out of hand. I almost want it to go back to the old days. Just my opinion

Hubby turned his rifle in when we had a baby, now that we're moving out of the city and live in a coyote heavy area, we'll re-arm again. Now we also have 5 Swords, 3 sets of throwing daggers, a set of throwing cards and a coin that's shiny.

I think that people that shoot someones pet and dosent tell them are cowards. If any of my dogs got out i would be frantic looking for them..i honestly would not sleep at night wondering where they are...are they suffering somewhere? So please..if you shoot my dog for attacking your livestock..have the gonads to confront me so i know where my dog is...please.

I think, at least for me, If I know it's your dog, and he's currently no threat to my family, I'll bring the pooch back to you. If he's harming or attempting to harm my family I'll protect mine, and notify you of the result.... However IF I know you're a bit "off" or I brought Fido home to you, to be told it's his right to run around... well then I can understand SSS in that case, as that person will not be reasoned with.

I, myself would never shoot a dog or a cat. There are other options..unless the dog is attacking a human. I just couldnt do it. And i have had stray dogs in my yard before..i called the dog officer and caught the dog. I would sincerly hope and pray that someone would do that before they shot my dogs. But..if they did feel the need to do it..(although there would be no reason..my dogs are super friendly..) i would hope they would have the morals to find me and let me know what happend to my pet. and then we'd take it from there....if my dog killed your livestock..i'd pay you...if my dog was just wandering in your yard and you shot it..well then... we'd have a big problem.
