She puffs up so much and growls and her body basically becomes VERTICAL when she sees me walking towards her . Only this picture slightly puts into perspective how puffy she is!

Bippy reminds me oh so much of my neighbor's bantam, Pumpkin. Pumpkin was broody and sitting on one egg during the just over a week time frame that I chicken sat last year. And she wouldn't stay on that egg for anything! I moved that poor egg all over the place trying to keep it with her. My friend and I both knew it wouldn't hatch, but she thought she'd let Pumpkin try.

Pumpkin did get better at being broody, so my friend let her try again. She hatched out an adorable Olive Egger, lol.

Pumpkin sounds feisty! I'm glad she ended up hatching a chick, I love olive eggers too!

Somehow some other chicken (or her) keeps randomly kicking eggs out of her nest. I'm thinking maybe when she was out drinking and eating the chicks that are chronically in the coop for some reason wreak some havoc on the eggs every day. Funny thing to me is the eggs are clearly marked and she doesn't know it's the eggs she's been sitting on for ten days
