Flock Update:

Yay! I bought the corrugated plastic! It is currently raining/ snowing so I can't do anything until next week.

Flock is fine, but when I cracked an egg this morning the egg white was a greenish color. Probably gone bad, but still a bit weird

Unfortunately, that sometimes happens. Hen A has a secret nest that she's on and off of, hen B finds it and will bring eggs back to the normal nest area.

I love Della Roo's extra blue winter feathers. I haven't had a nice "photoshoot" for the chickens in a while, and it was back in early November.

Thought I might do a little bio on Della Roo. (She's also my avatar, after all) She's a blue easter egger. She's three years old, and one healthy hen. Della has never has been sick, and she has the stomach of a RIR- a black hole. She's just can't put on weight either.

As a chick, we were so sure she was a rooster, from the way she stood and saddle feathers. We started calling her Della Roo, sure she was a roo. But, nope. But the name stuck.

Good evening... today has been sad since I got a 95 on my science quiz, so instead of a 99 for a final grade, I have a 98.8. (to be honest, I'm thrilled)

Nothing new to update on about the flock, besides the fact I'm still not sure if Sadie is deaf or not since she doesn't hear me calling her (cough- I trained them to come into the coop when called- great if hawk is in site) but today she heard the sunflower seed bucket shake and nearly plowed down the porch door to get there. (cough YES they climb up the porch stairs and hang out there until I give them sunflower seeds)
