Ellie's Flock!

Wow, this was around two years ago. Makes me cringe a bit, but then again, it was my first time in a western saddle. BUT AHHH my forward position and hands :sick

Btw, this green bean is named Friar, I rode him all the time and his trot used to be so stiff. Look at that relaxed boi. Gonna try to look for some more horse pictures.

Flock update:

Guess who laid an egg in 20*F and 9 inches of snow on the ground, with all of the chooks stuck in the coop (cuz I didn't finish the run roof oops)?

Leia! It's a beautiful blue oval egg and she definitely was curious when I jumped for joy when she climbed out of the nesting box with that wonderful prize.

All chooks enjoyed their semi late breakfast and some of the brave ones are exploring the bit of the roof I did finish.

10/10 camera quality I know

All chooks doing well in the cold. Currently 16*F and the water isn't even frozen inside. Couldn't find the Vaseline for their combs so I resorted to coconut oil. Long story short- chickens love to eat it, rather it on their combs. At least the only single comb was lathered in coconut oil.
