I’ve wondered about Elphie’s breed since I got her. She was a cute little chipmunk chick and I was told she was a Cream Legbar. It wasn’t long before it became apparent that she is not a Cream Legbar. But what is she? She came from a local feed store, which I believe bought from Hoover’s. For awhile, I thought maybe she was a Starlight Green Egger. But yesterday, she laid two tiny broken, transparent, almost certainly not green eggs. Today, she laid a small, light brown/pink/cream egg which managed to stay together long enough to be harvested. So what is she? I’ve included pictures of her from babyhood(2-3 days old) to today (19 weeks) and her egg.

I'm going to go with Welsummer or Welsummer mix. Her body is still working out the egg laying kinks so her eggs may look different once she gets the hang of it.

Do you have oyster shell available?

I gave her oyster shell last night. This egg was almost there shell-wise.
