So back story got two eggs that are Embden Geese. Long story short I have them and trying to save them since I wa stood it should be a hatch on maybe Sunday. Well yesterday which is Monday one hatched and came out kinda lively but stopped half way. I noticed a huge yolk still stuck to her so I left in the incubator. I woke up this morning and she is peeping louder then normal. Her head is moving around eyes open butnnot up and about. The yolk is pretty much gone. And she was detached from the bottom shell. I cleaned it up around that area and took the pic to show. But is this ok? Is this a premature egg that needs another day and the bellybutton is going in still now like a swollen newborn baby? Is is resting and alert today. Doesn’t peep or freak out if I clean it and or touched it so I assume it’s not painful.
Any tips. I can only assume there was so many issues with past in incubation or bird it came from. And or transportation might have onset premature hatching?
I don’t know but either way any tips on this would be amazing. I am a duck and chicken and turkey mom so the gosling is a new thing for me. I am so excted but still a little concerned.
