Bridget pulled into a small coffee shop's parking lot. She parked her truck and hopped out, brushing back her hair with a long, slender finger. She began to stride toward the door, her knees slightly shaky. As she pulled open the door, a bell chimed and the three sets of eyes in the shop turned to look at her. She smiled, and they murmured greetings and looked away. Oh, how I love a small town, she thought. "Where is he...?" She breathed looking around. As she turned to her right, she saw a handsome young man sitting at a two-person table in a homey-looking corner. "Jake!" She exclaimed, walking swiftly to the table. She grinned as she slipped out of her coat and sat down. "Bee!" He greeted her with a grin. "Bee? As in bumble? I thought it was Bridge," she teased with a nudge. "Ah, Bee's cute, though," he said with a shrug. "Yeah, I like it." She glanced at the counter. "We gonna go up and order some coffee?" She asked. "Already done. A peppermint mocha for you, medium, and a caramel chocolate one for me." He nodded toward the counter, where a teenage girl was walking toward them, two mochas in hand. She placed the peppermint in front of Bridget and the caramel in front of Jake. "There ya go, enjoy!" The girl grinned excitedly before walking back to the counter. "My favorite, thank you!" Bridget said, touching Jake's shoulder. "No problem." "Now... What was it you wanted to talk to me about?" She asked. "Oh, nothing. Just wanted to chat. How's it been with that Dennis guy?" Bridget clutched her chest. "Jake," She whispered before spilling the beans.

"It's alright," He whispered, taking her hands in his big, calloused, warm ones. "It's alright." Bridget's lip quivered, but she kept herself from crying. Gosh, I haven't cried this much in months. She bit her lip. "It's alright, Bee. I... I understand, and it's okay." Bridget and Jake weren't even dating, but Jake had been interested in Bridget for months, and she had always secretly liked him. He was her big brother, best friend, and crush rolled up into one. "Do you forgive me?" She asked quietly. "Forgive you?" "Yes," she replied. "I... Of course," he whispered, squeezing her hand.

Romantic gushy stuff!
This Bridget...

"Take a sip!" He said suddenly, pushing her mocha toward her when he realized she hadn't tried it. "It'll make you feel better." Bridget raised her eyebrows with a smile and picked it up. "Is that so? Fine. I will." Bridget took a big sip of it, letting the warm liquid warm up her stomach. Suddenly, something cold and hard slid into her mouth. She coughed into her napkin, coughing up the hard thing. "What the heck?!" She looked in the napkin to see what it was. There, in the napkin, was a intricately designed diamond ring.

Bridget has to cover up her tracks, that dirty rat!

"Bridget, will you marry me?" He asked, getting down on one knee beside her and taking the ring. "Y-Yes!" She squealed, jumping up from her chair to wrap him in a hug as he stood up.

Perhaps I should just sum it all up.

Basically, Jude and Bridget fought (But I personally think Jude had a better fight *Cough Cough* <.< >.> ) but they made up. Now Bridget is engaged to some guy named Jake and Jude is packing up.
