I have no experience with quail, but if these were chickens (and I can't see why this wouldn't work for quail), I would separate the two males immediately. Is there an open wound? If so, separate the victim until the wound completely heals, or the others will be drawn to peck at the wound. The bully could potentially kill the victim.

You'd be much better off posting this in the quail section, as they have more experience with quail. Or you could post in the Emergencies and Diseases forum. When you do, tell them how old the quail are, what breed of quail you have, and what your set-up is. Good luck!

You're welcome! For a long term solution, definitely post in the Quail section of the forum to get their opinions.

Ok. If you do see any cuts, put some neosporin WITHOUT pain killer on the affected area. The pain killer in neosporin is toxic to birds, so make sure you use the kind without pain killer.

what is Neosporin as I am English so don't know what it is or where to get it I assume It is not an English product do they sell it here or online somewhere what are the benefits and what does it do as I need as much help as possible

thanks

Oh, I'm not sure if it's sold where you are. Neosporin is a wound ointment that a lot of people where I live have already around the house, which is why I recommended it. If you're going to buy something new, go to your feed store and see if you can find a product called Vetericyn Wound Spray. I don't know if they sell it in England, but it's an excellent product to spray on wounds...it prevents infection and aids in healing. You can also definitely buy it on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vetericyn-W...UTF8&qid=1441130201&sr=1-1&keywords=Vetericyn

So does he have any wounds?
