Hello, I've got some ducks, no clue the breed. One has just hatched 2 baby ducks over 2 days. The oldest one is around 5 days old. They live in an outside enclosure, just fenced and have a duck pond. The terrain is rocky has trees and plants and soil, but there is lots of rock.
It's already nighttime here, just by luck I went in to the duck enclosure to get some fallen branches for the incinerator. One of the babies was swimming in the pond. I thought it's having a hard time getting out, so I grabbed it and picked it up and set it in the ground. It started walking, but it's one leg is just dragging behind it.
Literally using only 1 leg to walk and th other one just sticks out behind it.
Is it a break or a vitamin deficency. I check them daily at least 3 or 4 times a day, everything was fine at 4pm and someone else check them around 5, now it's 6.30 pm
I have them now on my lap in a small towel, I have no heat lamps or anything. The temperature is around 28 and will go down to around 22 deg c
The other baby duck also has some marks on its back.
What do I do?
