Chirping
I just picked these chicks up and one has... it looks like a mouse poop sticking out from her backside. It’s hard and looks maybe like prolapsed vent with a poop stucking out? Or maybe this is t even her vent I’m looking at?

Omg that is SO HELPFUL, thank you. I will keep an eye on it, it didn’t look like what I thought pasty butt would look like but had no idea what else it could be. If it’s un absorbed yolk is that a problem and is there something I should do?It's hard to tell in the photos.
It could be this chick did not absorb the whole yolk sac and that's what you're.
Can you watch this chick closely to see if it can poop?
Leave it be. Do not try to take it off... You will pull the chicks and guts out if you do.Okay a little more research reveals it might be umbilical cord hernia. Advice here on BYC is to just leave it be.
I would not mess with it.Thank you thank you thank you. Should I put blukote on it?
I am so sorry.Thank you. I feel terrible that I already spent twenty minutes soaking her bottom and gently patting/rubbing it. I’m really worried I made it worse.
