Nah not convinced of anything . Like I said before doves and pigeons are pretty hard to nail down species wise until they get actually fully feathered. I just like guessing .

Thank you so much!! I did a whole bunch of googling but could not for the life of me find a squab picture of an inca. You're a life saver!

He is! . He knows when it's feeding time too. He starts flapping and squeaking right when my timer goes off.

Looking more like a proper bird! He has some very pretty bright red feathers now underneath.
He's sporting a very angry look in this picture as I just bathed him (gently) with pet safe unscented wipes. He's a very messy eater so I have to wipe the formula off .

Another update (no pics this time!): He can sort of fly! He can now sort of 'flap flap' around the bed and gets off the ground a bit. No real flying but he's almost there!

Update with a picture! Little dudes doing great. He's upgraded to formula with mostly seeds now (small seeds, from a dove mix) and is flying like a pro.

He is 100% an Inca dove, as confirmed by his beautiful wings here! He was flapping while I was taking the picture because he was finishing up his food .
