Put antibiotics on it daily to reduce the chance of infection and keep it wrapped and keep the chick in one place keep water and food next to it. I recommend you feed it medicated chick starter. If you have any other chicks separate it from the others so it won't be pecked. I have had a chick with a broken leg before and it survived.

Oh thank goodness!!! How wonderful! I read your post when you first posted it, but didn't want to comment since I knew nothing. SO glad she's doing well!!

Yes she's very lovely and tame and I wouldn't want to lose her Am I glad I decided not to euthanise and stick with it until the very end.

Right now she has calluses but she seems to be able to walk somewhat and her gait looks more and more normal. Feeding her those vitamins and calcium with extra care certainly did help!

The scab fell off today, too. Still need to monitor and treat for a speedy recovery.

Reading my old post, it was really hard and I was panicky I am so happy that she's making a full recovery.

Also, just curious. How did she break her leg? I've been wondering that for awhile now.
