~EMERGENCY~ Broody left nest; egg peeping! UPDATE!!! 3/11/09

I have eggs in the 'bator on day 9. Can I put the abandoned egg in with them? What about humidity? It is day 20 on that egg and I can hear clear peeping but no pippage. Thanks!

absolutely!! I've had a broody abandon and I didn't realize til the next morning... it got down in the 50's and it still pulled through. Just keep your humidy around 65.

Once it hatches, slip it under momma in the middle of the night

I am no expert but I would say put it in the bator.

MS, Thanks so, so, so much! I hate not knowing the answers! I have one of the egg trays out so I set it down between two rails on a damp paper towel and humidity is at 63%. I'll keep you posted!
