We had one chick under mama, that got most of its shell off, but none of the membrane. The membrane completely dried out.
So we moistened that, and worked it off the top half of the chick.
I am letting it finish, as it seems healthy and it is very loud with plenty of movement.
However, it does have a teeny bit of yolk left. Wondering what I should do if that does not dry up quickly?
FYI: We do not have vasoline in the house, as we are rather strict about petroleum type products of that sort.
