I don't want to be fearful, but in case of an emergency... what would you recommend keeping in a "just in case" bag/kit? (types of ointments, etc)

Antibiotic ointment (no pain relievers in it though!)
Vetericyn
Vet wrap
Band aids
Poultry Cell
Nutridrench
Small syringes to feed Poultry Cell etc, I like the 3ml size
Iodine or Betadine
Styptic powder
Epsom salt (egg bound, bumble foot etc)
Antibiotics if you can get some
Medistatin or Monistatin for yeast infections
Vitamin E oil or pills
Calcium pills or Tums

If you can get your hands on some DMSO, that stuff is miracle. There's a food grade and a topical, I mostly use topical for scratches, cuts, open wounds, bruises, even broken bones. I think they sell it at TSC. It reduces inflammation, carries away toxins (like from infection) and helps carry other ointments and treatments through the skin. This is what the container I use looks like (this is the topical)

Should we have anything specific about for ours in Chandler, Arizona?
Not that it would really be in an emergency kit, but you say Arizona and I think 🥵 so some electrolytes you can add to a waterer every other day or so might be a great thing to have on hand for the summer.
