EMERGENCY-chicken was attacked by animal and severely hurt

this night, an animal (maybe a cat) came and killed one of my 3 chickens and injured the other.
The injured one has a bite mark and seems to have a little hole on its neck.
it was bleeding but i washed some of the blood away with warm water.
It can cluck and run but since it is hurt on its neck, its hard for her to eat and drink even though it can
also it seems to have injured her foot because it limps a little but it always limped but its just that the limping is more visible.
How can i help her?
i dont have any animal antibiotics but i do have human antibiotics.
can i use these?
i dont want to kill it and im not near any farm or a sleeper so im trying to let it live.
what else can i do except for the antibiotics?
pleas respond ASAP!!

btw, it is a cornish cross
it is eating layena sunfresh feed
poop looks normal
never gave any medicine except for washing it
and can i put human vitamins in the water to help it?
no idea where the vet is so i cant go to the vet
the bleeding is basically mostly on its ear and on the neck feathers.

Sorry about your chicken, just clean out the wound with saline or warm water, use some empsom salts if you have any as a compress to pull out any infection, then apply some plain neosporin (none that have pain killers in it, as those can kill a bird) and see how it heals. If she needs some antibiotics, Amoxicillian or Penicillin can be used.

i washed it with warm water
i have no penicilin or neosporin but i have amoxicillin
but the amoxicilillin is in a pill form.
it says amocicillin 500MG capsules.
do i smash it up and put it in the water?
and how many pills per day
and do i feed them everyday or just for tomorrow?
also, i put some mupirocin( a type of ointment that is like an antibiotic. You dont eat it but put it on the infected area.
i put some on its ear. but there is also a cut on its neck which is under the feathers and i cant reach it.)
also it limps a lot now. it can run and walk but it got hurt during the attack and it limps a lot. it usually doesnt walk and just sits down. should i allow this until she gets better?

Being after hours even if you could find a vet that took poultry it would cost a fortune.
Animal bites are never sutured but left open and allowed to drain and not trap bacteria.
Just keep the area cleaned out, saline wash the wounds as best as you can (even on the foot) at least twice a day and apply the ointment.
I believe the mupirocin is generic bactroban an antibiotic ointment, which is good to stop infection.
I would keep her isolated and let her rest as much as possible, its a tramatic experience

Sorry to hear about your chicks--one of ours had a run-in with our dog a month or so ago, and it didn't end well, but it sounds like the one you're nursing is hanging in there.

We took ours to the vet, who gave her some antibiotics by mouth and some antibiotic ointment. I don't know the dose, but I'll bet you could find it online if you have some amox for humans around...Sounds like you're doing everything that a vet would do...

You may not be able to keep the wound completely open, but maybe you could sponge off the dried blood to keep it as clean as possible.

If she's eating and drinking and pooping, that's great. If not, you could try some pedialyte by dropper (which is what we did with ours).

Be careful that the other birds don't peck at her--maybe she should be kept in her own place till she heals up? Some blu-kote or rooster booster no-pecking lotion might help, too.

You might be able to wipe off the blood with a warm wet cloth, if not try a little hydrogen peroxide to soften the scab and then rinse with water. you dont want to keep it open especially if its starting to heal on its own or scabbing over. Did you get a chance to clean it out really good and flush the wound tract? If not try to get the scab off to do an initial cleaning then leave any scab that forms after.

The good thing about the ointment that you have is it will penetrate the scab and keep the wound from getting infected but you still want to make sure you've gotten out any debris.

i cant really wipe the blood off well because the chicken keeps moving its head. but wont it fall off like how a scab falls off a human?
and the wound is on its head so how do i wash its head?
and if i use the amoxicillan, how many pills per day? they're 500MG pills and im planning on smashing them and putting it in their water. and for how long?
and kathyinmo, thanks for the info but i only have an ointment and scissors. and if i cut the feathers, wont it bleed?
