Hi everyone!
Last night when I went to lock up my girls for the night I noticed I was missing two. I checked the neighbors yard and I saw feathers everywhere and one chicken was dead I assumed the other was as well. I locked the others up and went to bed. When I woke up this morning to let my girls out I was surprised to see one of the attacked chickens was alive and pacing the coop to get in. I quickly grabbed her and put her in a dog crate with some water and food and she gulped some water down. Assessing her, she is missing a wing and I can see bone, she is missing some feathers and has a few puncture wounds. She isn’t bleeding anywhere that I can see but I’m unsure on how to proceed. A Vet visit requires us to drive an hour one way and he doesn’t have anything open today. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
