Ok, please don't tell me how stupid I am. I had posted a couple weeks ago my flock was very uneven. Yesterday I went to pick up females off Craigslist. I went with the intention of getting 4 females.
I ended up with 25. Ya I'm a sucker. These ducks were all in terrible shape. The people had run out of feed several weeks ago they only had chicken watering containers. That were mostly empty. I was able to get 25 in my car. So that is what I took.
They are in my back room in the house. They are scared of the pool. I washed them all today. They have wet feathers, they won't eat anything. I have been up all night with them. I don't know if I should allow them with my ducks with them being in such bad shape, so they can see how to be a duck.
Also there are about 100 left where I got them from and my husband wants me to go get the rest or call animal control. I really am lost here.

Bless you heart any chance there is a rescue around you that would take the rest?

Put food down and water and let them figure it out they will eventually. Sure can't force them to eat. If you have some electrolytes and poultry vitamins I'd add to their drinking bucket.

Why wouldn't these people go get more feed? Maybe animal control is best.

100?? lol you sound like me. I wish I had to space to rescue them. Honestly if you have a plan in place and an area for them to be. Then you are the rescue :)

Any idea how old they are? My adoptes sound like they could have been in similar shape when I got them. They looked bad, very afraid of people...but they at least had food. Now they are beautiful!

My guess would be about three months. One was egg bound. My husband and the Guy next door are going to take his horse trailer and go get the rest and we will do the best we can I'm going to run to home depot and make make shift coops and try and save them and adopt them out to good homes.
They stopped giving them feed because they were board with them and had hoped someone like me would come along. They are all different kinds. They also said they were tired of buying feed and having other wild birds eat it.
I have clean water and electrolytes out for them. I have feed yogurt and apple sauce. I guess it's going to be a long couple weeks. But I can't in consience let them stay where they are. I can't stand it when animals are mistreated.
