She’s been laying just fine, and the heat hasn’t been so bad. She’s a little off, but that’s to be expected after a painful, draining egg-binding AND a with how bad temps are.Hooray! And also, whew!
I hope things cool off for you soon. She’s been laying just fine, and the heat hasn’t been so bad. She’s a little off, but that’s to be expected after a painful, draining egg-binding AND a with how bad temps are.
I’m in Portland. It got up to 117 where there were no trees. Nothing could live in those temps, so my girls came inside.
I saw way, way too many heartbreaking posts on social media from people who had lost pets in the heat.
I’ll go: first white, female; second white, female; third white, male; brown chick: more information needed.
Oh wow! I’ve actually acccurately guessed chick gender before. Just ask @MGG. Of course, it’s all a guess. But there seems to be a pattern, lol.You were spot on!!! Out of 6 chicks (the rose comb chick sadly died due to a predator), we have one male so far, the third photo. Good job!!
The rest in the guessing game are females, including the second batch I hatched. I am just looking out for slower developing males in the second batch now. Great guessing!
Yes!!! She guesses my day olds and has been totally accurate on a number of chicks!Oh wow! I’ve actually acccurately guessed chick gender before. Just ask @MGG. Of course, it’s all a guess. But there seems to be a pattern, lol.
