Emergency hatch

Broody hen hatched out babies this week, this one just started pipping this morning. It is way to early for it to be coming out, but the shell really broke.
Is this a lost cause, or is there anything I can do to fix it??

I did not peel any shell back, I don’t know what exactly happened. Mama hen is doing fantastic. This one needs immediate attention, just not sure what I need to do.

It looks like it lost a lot of blood. It might be a lot cause, it looks very bloody

Do you have anything lkke an incubator? I don't hatch. But I read thd threads. Until you hear from him, you need to keep this warm and humid so it doesn't dry out.

Yes, that blood does not bode well. I'm sorry. Check your broody and her nest for ants. If she has ants, she might have stomped the egg due to her discomfort.

No we don't usually hatch chicks, we just had a mama go broody and I didn't want her stop her from doing what is natural. I put the baby back under the mama.

Yeah, it is sad. But this is part of nature, too, unfortunately. Did it die?
