Okay, there is a slightly bigger hole, and a tiny beak sticking out and chirping, but that is it. It really hasn't made much progress... at least I know it is still alive

Encourage it..."talk" to it. Sometimes I will make little clucking noises, like a mother hen might. Oh boy, do I get strange looks from the DH when I do!

Okay,it had made very little progress, so using the sticky topic here in the "Incubating & Hatching Eggs" section, I hand-hatched it.
It has not even chirped for the past hour or more. I am not sure if it is going to make it, it is so incredibly weak

Sorry to hear about the rough hatch. But they can surprise you and make a comeback. So don't give up. Try dipping it's beak in some water with electrolytes and see if it can swallow it. If so, do this every hour and see how it goes. Keep us posted.

I am doing a staggered-hatch, so I will, hopefully, have chicks hatching for the next two weeks
